are lots of fun.....buy regular wood blocks and then paint them....If you write on them.... use a pretty silver or gold pen....then be sure to seal them with a shiney lacquer.....We write our names, birthdates, favorite scriptures, favorite quotes, first words, some shakespeare, song lyrics.... anything....to remember in the future.....Ours date back to 1998
