"I want that".......

remember from Napoleon Dynamite...the part where the uncle is selling Tupperware and he tells the lady she can get a free model ship with her purchase and she leans over to her husband and whispers, "I WANT THAT!"

So whenever I see something I want...I think of that...(I know I am not the only one!)

Well.... I want this!

but I think I prefer the green one!

Random Acts of Kindness

This is from a booklet my son Joe made at school...

1. Help someone (who hasn't asked) with something...I helped my sister before we left home for school to remember to bring her clarinet. She said "Thank you" and I felt good.

2. Make a card, put a specific comment about the person you are giving it to and deliver it...After school while I was walking home, I gave my sister a birthday card...She thought it was creepy and it kinda hurt my feelings.

3. Say a pleasant "good morning" and "goodnight" to those you see...I passed my grandma and grandpa in the hallway and right before I passed them I said "goodnight." They weren't surprised because I usually say "good night."

4. Give a compliment to a younger person....I gave a compliment to my younger brother about how good he plays this game called "Sly Cooper." He didn't say anything buy his facial expression showed that he was shy...

5. Share a nice story with someone....I share a story about me going to California to my friend Obed. He said "Okay?" Then he shared a story about him going camping.

6. Include a friend/sibling in a game, conversation or activity....I played a game called "Batman" last night with my little brothers. It's just like "Hide and go Seek" but the name is just different. I played the game around 5:00 pm down stairs at my house.

7. Do a kind thing as a surprise and don't tell that you did it....I did the dishes this morning for my mom around 7:20 am. I did it because the day before she looked really sad. I just hope this helps her. I felt really good helping my mom.

8. Tell someone you love them and look them in the eye... I told my sister I loved her when we were walking to school. It wasn't that wierd because she did it to me the day before. I felt a little embarassed but it was a good experience.

Listen to your Mother!

so...one evening last week I picked Jake and his friends up from Carls Jr....It was night and they came out and one of his "crazy" friends said to me..."quick, let's get out of here"...and I'm like "huh...what, are you kiddin me?"

so...tonight when I was dropping Jake off to go swimming with his friends I told him to "be careful and assume that everyone has a knife and don't make anyone mad"....he just looked at me and laughed...I said "hey, you better listen to me.."

awwwww

fresh meat

This is me this last weekend....a friend from work invited me to a candle party...I decided to go because I wanted to get to know people from work better...I should have known better...Have you attended "parties" before..anywhere from tupperware, kitchen tools, home decor, and some other "non mentionables" ? I have a couple times and should have remembered to have known better.....

To my dismay, I realized there were no people from work there to show up...only her friends that I didn't know and they didn't care to know me but were only interested in me as the "fresh meat" (someone they have not sold candles to before....)

With all these types of parties, there are games involved....for example I remember a tupperware party where the goal of the hostess is to "sign up" two people from the party to host another party....One of the games was a gamblin sort of game....The presenter had a "gift" wrapped up and if you won the game, you got it...if you didn't you had to host a future party...You could drop out of the game at anytime, but didn't recieve a gift....(something sick like that)....and of course the gift ended up being something totally worthless...a set of funnel cups that looked like boobies...hahahaha

So back to Saturday...."the game" was a bunch of questions that were asked about the hostess and we were suppose to guess the right answer (what she would answer) You got a star for each correct answer and the person with the most, got a candle (one of those tealite super small ones...hahaha- worthless)

So guess what the last question was? "Who do you think Angela would think would like to host the next party?" and of course the answer was me...(I got that answer wrong)

I realized I HAD BEEN SET UP! I WAS THE FRESH MEAT! The whole time I was thinking... "How am I going to get the blank out of here...."

Besides, if I want to buy a candle for 17.95...I'll go to Pier 1

piggy cubs

Here are some really cute pictures from Joanie...They were soooo cute that I had to post them....Have you seen them before..?I looked for more info on them and where they originated from and below the pictures is what I found....It seems that some of the below is inaccurate...

"In a zoo in California, a mother tiger gave birth to a rare set of triplet tiger cubs. Unfortunately, due to complications in the pregnancy, the cubs were born prematurely and due to their tiny size, they died shortly after birth.

The mother tiger after recovering from the delivery, suddenly started to decline in health, although physically she was fine. The veterinarians felt that the loss of her litter had caused the tigress to fall into a depression. The doctors decided that if the tigress could surrogate another mother's cubs, perhaps she would improve.

After checking with many other zoos across the country, the depressing news was that there were no tiger cubs of the right age to introduce to the mourning mother. The veterinarians decided to try something that had never been tried in of one species will take on the care of a different species. The only orphans' that could be found quickly, were a litter of weanling pigs. The zoo keepers and vets wrapped the piglets in tiger skin and placed the babies around the mother tiger. "

To begin with, the snapshots were taken at the Sriracha Tiger Zoo in Chonburi, Thailand (near Bangkok), not some nameless zoo in California. Moreover, it would appear that the sad tale of the tigress falling into a deep depression after losing a litter of cubs was fabricated, as was the claim that the piglets were substituted for the deceased cubs by zookeepers in order to console the "mourning mother." As it happens, this sort of intermingling of species is not at all unusual at the Sriracha Tiger Zoo, where "creating successful relationships with animals of different species" is something of a guiding principle. The facility, more accurately described as part zoo and part circus, boasts offbeat attractions like basketball-playing elephants, "lady crocodile wrestlers," and a petting zoo where customers can bottle-feed baby tigers with their own bare hands. Visitors have reported seeing tigers, pigs, and dogs all housed together within the same enclosure, with sows nursing tiger cubs and tigresses nursing piglets "adorned in tiger-print costumes." The costumes are strictly for show, by the way. The mother tiger pictured above, who has been photographed on other occasions suckling piglets au naturel, was herself nursed by a pig in infancy and apparently regards the other species as family, not prey.

The 14th of February. It falls on the same day as Valentine's Day except this one is only celebrated by 5 year olds.
