The kids had a wonderful Art teacher for their mosiac workshop. It is wonderful to come across someone who is so inspiring, patient and great with kids. Here are some pictures of Jonathan's amazing work!

So after some stress of what to make we decided to make Rosette cookies(thin crispy cookies with powdered sugar)....have you ever had them..?

Jake said to me Monday...which was a non school day....."Mom, I'm late..... I have to go to school right now for practice".....I was taking a shower....

I just found out the boys are going to "snow camp" on Friday ..but that's better than last year when they told me a couple hours before they were to go....

Jake is changing his schedule at school..."Mom I need your signature...I'm not taking web design anymore."

yesterday....

I got to drive Jake's friends all home from play practice at school (they are the sound guys for the play)...It was carazzzy! I am trying to remember just one thing they were saying...but can't....they are soo funny! I couldn't keep up. They did all giggle when I asked if there were any cute girls in the play.

On Saturday....

Jake announced that he needed the light sabers for a friends video project they were doing.....we tore the house apart looking for them....he found the blue one....we couldn't find the green one....but I did find this! I tried to convince him to use it in the light saber battle....but guess what? He Wouldn't!

I made this doll about 10 years ago for E bet....

I think she is really cute....but she really freaks the babies out.....I had put her in their room and they threw her out...I do have to admit as she sits by the computer that I am a little freaked out too....Like, I'll look at her and she will be in a different position...or her head will raise from being down...I've seen too many movies....

Yesterday, Jack got out in front yard and would not come when we called him...he usually does when I yell "CHEEEZ".....but it didn't work

Luke sat on the couch....which is full of clothes and this heart blanket fell on top of him....I laughed and said "it's a valentine avalanche!" That just popped in my head...and I thought... what a great title of a poem....(OF COURSE, I couldn't come up with the rest of the poem)....so I told the kids "whoever writes the poem, I will give them some money(I won't tell you how much )"....only one of the kids actually did it...it is below...

This is not..... Ikea

If you look closely you will see several cool Ikea desks, chair, bed, tables....that one of my children got for Christmas....

I kept warning the kids all through December...."It's going to be an Ikea Christmas"....or I'd say..."What are you getting for Christmas?" and they would say "IKEA"! What is it like as a kid to get a chair or a desk for Christmas? hmmmm?

Well my thoughts were: I am not bringing anything else into this house until something goes out....That was very difficult...especially for all of us -since we are all avid collectors (except Jake)SO then I thought lets get stuff that organizes what we have left....hence....IKEA Christmas!

I caught Joe styling his hair today with the blow dryer.....he is blow drying his hair with the knit cap on....getting his hair to curl up over the edge of the hat....
