at work this weekend....

I was in the dining hall helping a senior lady with dementia sit down at a table for breakfast. She looked around at the other couple of senior ladies asleep in their chairs and to the one next to her she said sweetly "Hello, Mother"....I wish I could have stayed longer and watched what happened...

It was sweet that in her mind this morning, she was going to have breakfast with her Mother.

Do you know someone named Betty...?

I know 2 wonderful ladies named Betty! I was wondering if everyone named Betty was nice...?

This morning at work I met a Betty, who was just the nicest beautiful(est) person I have ever met! I hope someday I can be like her...

Her name was actually Elizabeth...I wonder what Liza would think if I started calling her Betty..?Because Betty's are the nicest....!

Isn't there a children's book about everything?

or close to it? I thought there couldn't be a children's book about a squirrel that eats pumpkin could there?

So I googled "Squirrel pumpkin children book" and this is what popped up..

A red flag goes up....

when the twins shut a door...whether it is my bedroom door or bathroom door...I know that they are planning something...


Yesterday, Luke shut the bathroom door..My first thought was "hmmm, I guess he wants some privacy"....but soon I heard "PSSSSSS" ...but not the usual PSSSSS....but with more of an aerosol sound...

I asked him what he was doing and he said he was cleaning the toilet...."wow, that's great!?" Too bad it was with hairspray!..... but he wants to work ....that is what counts....right?!



hmmm...he did want to clean after eating the magic apple...

We have received several plates of wonderful cookies and I can imagine what people think....Halloween is over, people!!!

I have to say..."I did the dishes, who's going to throw the pumpkins away"...?

Too bad the squirrels don't eat pumpkin, they would have been gone along time ago...we have lots of squirrels!

The vacuum wasn't working very well so I decided to take it apart and this is what was in there...

I went to the store on the way to work to get some snacks...I work 12 hour shifts, so I needed to get some things...I bought this apple...and some crackers...water....I couldn't believe how much it cost and looked at the receipt and the apple cost $1.85!

Things that bug me....

When the person in front of you at the drive-thru takes their "sweet time" putting their receipt carefully in their wallet from the ATM.....(my husband does this) without pulling up a little...

or passes out their food while still at the drive-thru window...
